Brown 70, Harvard 66

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Mark McAndrew collected 19 points and Damon Huffman added 14 to lead Brown past Harvard, 70-66, Friday night.

McAndrew hit 6 of 9 from the floor, including a pair of 3-pointers and had a team-high five rebounds. Huffman connected on 5 of 8 field goal attempts as the Bears shot 50 percent (22 of 44) for the game.

The Crimson (10-13, 3-6 Ivy League), who never led, got a 20-point performance from guard Jim Goffredo. Drew Housman chipped in with 16 points.

Brown (8-16, 3-6) enjoyed its largest lead of the first half, a 12-point margin with 8:29 remaining, before the Crimson narrowed it to five at intermission, 32-27, courtesy of a 14-8 run.

Harvard connected on 4 of 6 3-point attempts in the opening half. After spotting the Crimson the first basket of the second half, the Bears ran off 11 consecutive points to take a 14-point lead at 43-29.

Harvard out rebounded the Bears 37-25.
