ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) -- Wilson Chandler scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds to lead DePaul to a 58-45 victory over Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon.
Cincinnati has lost 10 straight, its longest losing streak since 1924-25, when it dropped a school-record 11 straight. The current streak is the second-longest in Bearcats history.
DePaul (17-12, 8-7 Big East) went on a 13-2 run in the opening minutes of the game. Keith Butler's basket gave DePaul a 15-5 lead with 12:43 left in the first half. He had six points during the span.
Draelon Burns made a 3 with two seconds left in the half to put the Blue Demons up 35-20 at the half. Chandler had nine points in the first half. Burns finished the game with 11 points.
Cincinnati (10-18, 1-13) didn't score their first point in the second half until John Williamson made a free throw with 14:35 left in the game. Williamson led the Bearcats with 16 points.
Cliff Clinkscales had a steal and then made a nice no-look pass to Chandler for a dunk to put DePaul ahead 48-29 with 7:01 left and then Clinkscales found Chandler for an alley-oop dunk making it 52-31.
DePaul has won five of its last seven games and improved to 12-2 at home this season.
