BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) -- Corey Lowe hit two decisive free throws with 90 seconds left and Boston University held on for a 59-58 victory over Vermont on Thursday night.
The free tosses gave the Terriers (10-14, 7-5 America East) a 59-53 lead, but Vermont wasn't finished.
The Catamounts' Colin MacIntosh hit a 3-pointer with 1:08 remaining and Marcus Blakely hit two free throws with 45 seconds to go. Vermont got the ball back with 21 seconds left, but had the ball knocked out of bounds with 4 seconds to go. After time outs by both teams, Mike Trimboli's shot missed as time ran out.
Scott Brittain led BU with 16 points, 12 of them free throws.
Blakely finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds for Vermont (12-12, 7-5).
