NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) -- Devon Clarke scored 16 points and John Kelly had 14, and Iona overcame an early 13-point deficit to defeat Manhattan 87-75 Sunday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Gary Springer added 13 points and Dexter Gray 12 for the Gaels (12-19, 8-10). Antoine Pearson scored 15 points, Chris Smith 13 and Devon Austin 10 for the Jaspers (11-18, 5-13), who have lost three in a row.
Iona shot 63 percent from the field to 41 percent for Manhattan. The Gaels outrebounded the Jaspers 35-24.
Manhattan led 28-15 midway through the first half and 47-41 at halftime. Springer scored with 13:21 left in the game to cap a 13-4 run that put the Gaels on top 54-53 with a lead they never relinquished.
Kelly's basket with 10:11 remaining put Iona ahead 68-57. Smith made two free throws with 5:49 to go that narrowed the margin to 72-66, but the Jaspers came no closer.
