INDIANAPOLIS -- Shelvin Mack scored 18 points, and Butler defeated Evansville 75-59 on Saturday afternoon.
Mack made 8 of 11 shots, including both of his 3-point tries, as the Bulldogs (5-0) won the matchup between unbeaten teams.
Shy Ely led Evansville (3-1) with 12 points. Evansville's only lead was 11-10 with 14:30 left in the first half.
Butler made 9 of 19 3-pointers and shot 52 percent overall. Evansville shot just 40 percent from the field.
Butler led 35-30 at halftime. The Bulldogs led 59-49 in the second half before going on a 13-0 run to make it 72-49 with just under three minutes to go.
