TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Lamar Twitty hit a jump shot with 3 seconds left in the second overtime to give Florida A&M a 76-75 win over Hampton on Monday night.
Florida A&M (4-10, 2-1 Mid-Eastern Conference) led 74-68 in the second overtime before the Pirates (7-8, 2-1 took a 75-74 lead thanks to five points from Vincent Simpson and Kwame Morgan's put-back off a Simpson miss.
After trailing by as many as 11 in the second half, the Rattlers tied the score at 58 on a Brandon Bryant's 3-pointer with 1:09 left.
Florida A&M had a chance to take the lead, but Joe Ballard's 3-pointer was off the mark. Hampton then had a chance to win, but Simpson missed his long 3-point attempt with time running out.
Simpson led all scorers with 26 points.
Ballard and Dale Hughes led the Rattlers with 17 points each.
