W. Illinois 62, S. Dakota St. 59

MACOMB, Ill. -- Josh Rivers hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Western Illinois a 62-59 victory over South Dakota State on Saturday.

Rivers had 15 points, including three 3-pointers, for Western Illinois (8-16, 5-8 Summit League). David DuBois had 24 points and a game-high eight rebounds while Quenton Kirby added ten points for the Leathernecks.

Western Illinois led 34-27 going into half time, but South Dakota State (10-15, 5-8 Summit League) came back from the break to outscore Western Illinois 32-28 in the second period. The score was tied at 59-59 with a free throw from the Leathernecks' Tommie Tyler with 32 seconds left.

Clint Sargent led South Dakota State with 21 points. Garrett Callahan had 16 points and Anthony Cordova added 15 points for the Jackrabbits.
