Indiana St. 69, Drake 57

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Hot-shooting Jay Tunnell scored 25 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Indiana State to a 69-57 victory over Drake on Wednesday night in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Tunnell was 10-of-11 from the field and 5-of-6 from behind the arc.

Rashad Reed had 15, Jordan Printy 11 and Harry Marshall 10 for the Sycamores (6-19, 4-10), who shot 51 percent overall.

Indiana State outrebounded Drake 33-27 and outscored the Bulldogs in the paint 22-12.

Jonathan Cox had 15 points and eight rebounds to pace Drake (15-11, 6-8). Josh Young had 13 and Josh Parker 10.

The Bulldogs shot 80 percent from the free-throw line, while the Sycamores shot 68 percent.

The score was tied at 31 at halftime, but Indiana State led by as many as 14 with 41 seconds left in the game.
