RICHMOND, Ky. -- Mike Rose scored 27 points to lead five Eastern Kentucky players in double figures as the Colonels defeated Southeast Missouri State 84-64 on Thursday night.
Eastern Kentucky (15-10, 8-6 Ohio Valley Conference) shot 52 percent from the field (32 of 61) and improved to 9-0 this season when shooting 50 percent or better.
Rose has scored 20 or more points 16 times in his career. He also led the Colonels with five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Southeast Missouri (3-22, 0-14) led 12-3 when Eastern Kentucky went on a 28-2 run, scoring 21 straight points in one stretch. The Colonels led 41-24 at halftime.
