BALTIMORE -- Devon Clarke scored 15 points and Iona used an early second half surge to route Loyola of Maryland 77-65 on Friday night.
Trailing 40-37 early in the second half, the Gaels (12-14, 7-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) scored 25 unanswered points to claim a 62-40 lead on Milan Prodanvic's 3-pointer with 11:46 left in the game.
Alejo Rodriguez, who finished with 14 points, had eight points and Clarke added seven during the spurt for Iona.
Jamal Barney, who led the Greyhounds with 19 points, ended Iona's surge with a 3-pointer. But Loyola (11-16, 6-9), which lost its fourth straight game after winning five in a row, pulled no closer than 12 points.
Rashon Dwight had 13 points for Iona. Prodanvic added 12 points and five steals.
