BATON ROUGE, LA. -- Trent Johnson took over an LSU basketball program last April that had gone through consecutive losing seasons in the Southeastern Conference.Now in Johnson's first season the Tigers are SEC champions again, clinching at least a share of the conference crown with an 81-75 victory against Florida on Tuesday night.Marcus Thornton scored 32 points for the Tigers (24-4, 12-1), who have won nine straight overall and 12 in a row in SEC play. They can win their second outright conference title in the last four seasons with one victory in the last three games.
• LSU won its 12th straight SEC game as the Tigers clinched at least a share of the SEC regular-season title. The 12 straight conference wins are tied for the fifth-longest SEC win streak and the second-longest single-season SEC streak in school history.
• Marcus Thornton scored a game-high 32 points and Garrett Temple finished with a career-high 21 points to lead the Tigers.
• Florida has lost four straight road games vs. ranked opponents.
