BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Lorne Merthie scored 19 points to help Campbell beat Stetson 73-56 on Friday night.
The Camels (14-15, 11-9 Atlantic Sun Conference) ended the regular season with a winning conference record for the first time since the team went 10-8 in 2000. Campbell also secured its first four-game winning streak since 2000.
Campbell jumped out to a 24-4 lead with 8:10 left in the first half, capped by Jonathan Rodriguez's free throw. Merthie scored eight points and Vejraska had six during the spurt.
Stetson (13-16, 9-11), which lost its third straight contest, cut the lead to 45-39 with 11:35 left in the second half on Brandon Williams' tip-in, but would not pull closer.
Garfield Blair led Stetson with 17 points.
