TAMPA, Fla. -- Coach Stan Heath's days of walking into the Sun Dome, looking up at all the Big East banners hanging from the rafters and wondering how in the world South Florida was going to compete in one of the nation's best college basketball leagues are over.Dominique Jones and the Bulls are on an unprecedented roll after upsetting No. 17 Pittsburgh 70-61 on Sunday. Their coach is enjoying a surge in the conference standings that seemed improbable less than two weeks ago.
• South Florida snapped a three-game losing streak to Pittsburgh as the Bulls won their first game over a ranked opponent in nearly a year. Their last was a win over Marquette on Feb. 6 last year.
• Dominique Jones led South Florida with a game-high 37 points, and over his last three games Jones is averaging 37.0 ppg.
• Pittsburgh has lost three of four after starting the season 15-2.
• Gilbert Brown finished with a career-high 25 points in the loss for the Panthers.
