DOVER, Del. -- Casey Walker scored 20 points and Marques Oliver had a double-double as Delaware State defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore 64-53 on Saturday night in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
The Hornets (3-3) outscored the Hawks 37-26 in the second half, breaking a 27-27 tie at the break. Delaware State shot 56.5 percent from the field in the second half (13 of 23), while holding the Hawks to just 8-of-21 shooting in the period (38.1 percent).
