RICHMOND, Va. -- Tu Holloway scored a career-high 33 points and made all 17 of his free throws Saturday, leading Xavier to its seventh straight victory in a 85-62 win against Richmond.
Holloway scored 14 points in a row for the Musketeers at one stretch of the second half, and Xavier (15-5, 7-0 Atlantic 10) moved into first place in the conference. Duquesne, the other unbeaten team in league play, can regain a share of the lead Sunday against Dayton.
Justin Harper scored 20 points to lead Richmond (16-6, 5-2), which lost for the third time in its last five home games. The Spiders were outscored 29-10 at the free throw line against Xavier, which missed only one free throw out of 30 attempts.
