TOLEDO, Ohio -- Dominique Buckley scored 18 of his career-high 21 points in the second half as Toledo rallied to defeat winless UNC Wilmington 75-73 on Wednesday night.
The victory was the fifth straight for the Rockets (5-1) and matched their longest winning streak since 2006-07.
The Seahawks (0-5), who led by 10 in the first half and 41-37 at the break, still held a 58-51 advantage with 9:57 remaining when the Rockets started their surge.
Toledo tied it at 60 with 6:18 to play, but UNC Wilmington scored the next four. It was all Buckley for the next two minutes as the transfer from Iowa State scored on a three-point play and four free throws for a 67-64 lead with 3:58 left.
A late Seahawks rally fell short.
Adam Smith led UNC Wilmington with 27 points.
