EMMITSBURG, Md. -- Julian Boyd had 22 points and 13 rebounds and three other starters scored in double figures in Long Island University's 85-76 victory over Mount St. Mary's Saturday night in Northeast Conference play.
For Mount St. Mary's, Dan Thompson scored 21 points on 10-of-18 shooting, took seven rebounds and made four steals. Raven Barber came off the bench to score 13 for the Mountaineers (1-6, 0-2). Lamar Thrice, Julian Norfleet and Josh Castellanos had 10 points apiece.
Each team made 30 baskets, but LIU shot 55.6 percent (30 of 54) to 40.5 percent (30 of 74) for Mount St. Mary's. LIU outscored the Mountaineers from the foul line 17-9.
