ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Cleveland Melvin scored a career-high 30 points while Brandon Young added 21, including 20 in the second half, as DePaul broke an 11-game Allstate Arena losing streak with a 102-95 victory over Chicago State on Saturday.
The Blue Demons (6-3) never trailed and led by 17 points early in the contest. But they struggled against the Cougars' zone and were outrebounded 49-38. Chicago State had 21 turnovers, which DePaul converted into 26 points.
The Blue Demons, who have a 10-0 series lead, were 14-for-31 on 3-pointers.
