NEWARK, Del. -- Chris Cooper grabbed an offensive rebound and hit a layup at the buzzer in overtime to give Old Dominion a 68-66 win over Delaware on Wednesday night.
Kent Bazemore, who missed the shot that Cooper rebounded, had 27 points and 12 rebounds for the Monarchs (9-8, 3-1 Colonial Athletic Association), who have won three of the past four games in the series. Richard Ross and Cooper each added 14 points for Old Dominion.
A 3-pointer by Kyle Anderson gave Delaware a 57-55 lead with 40 seconds remaining in regulation, but Bazemore hit two free throws with 3 seconds left to extend the game.
Bazemore hit two 3-pointers and scored Old Dominion's first nine points in overtime.
There were 10 ties and 10 lead changes in the game.
