FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Frank Gaines scored 22 points to lead IPFW to a 70-47 win over Kennesaw State on Friday night.
Gaines was 10 of 13 at the free-throw line.
IPFW led 26-22 at halftime. Kennesaw State scored at 4:33, making the game 63-47 IPFW. From that point on, IPFW held Kennesaw State scoreless and increased its lead by seven. IPFW shot 50 percent from the field for the game, while Kennesaw State shot 38 percent.
Friday's game marked the first time that IPFW (6-7) and Kennesaw State (1-10) have met on the basketball court.
