WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. -- Frankie Dobbs scored a career-high 27 points to lead Bryant to a 77-62 win over Monmouth Saturday night in Northeast Conference play.
The Bulldogs (15-6, 8-2) remain atop the NEC standings due to Dobbs and also Alex Francis, who posted his fifth double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
But the night belonged to Dobbs, who was 6 of 9 from the field, 4 of 7 on 3-pointers. He made 11 of 13 at the free throw line.
For Monmouth (8-15, 3-7), Jesse Steele recorded a career-high 27 points. He hit 10 of 21 field goal attempts, including 4 of 13 on treys, and all three of his free throws.
But that wasn't enough. No other Hawk finished in double figures.
Bryant led 33-24 at halftime. Monmouth drew within 59-55 with 5:44 left, but was outscored 18-7 down the stretch -- six points coming from Dobbs.
