NEWARK, Del. -- Saah Nimley led the way with 24 points, seven rebounds, and six assists and scored 4 key points down the stretch as Charleston Southern won a shootout Sunday at Delaware 95-93.
The Buccaneers (2-0) led 91-89 with 3:25 to go when Nimley hit two free throws. He followed with a jumper at the 1:06 mark for the Buccaneers to go up by 6.
Devon Saddler answered with four straight free throws. The Hens (0-2) fouled Will Saunders, who missed both free throws with 10.5 seconds left. On the second miss Jarvis Threatt rebounded and went coast-to-coast for a layup but was blocked by Will Saunders. Arlon Harper secured the rebound for the win. Threatt tripped through the lane but there was no call.
CSU had six player score in double figures.
Davon Usher had 30 points and Saddler added 29 points for the Hens.
