WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Tim Rusthoven had 26 points, 16 rebounds and five assists on Wednesday night to lead William & Mary over Virginia Military 97-67.
William & Mary (3-3) opened the second half on a 21-9 run capped by Sean Sheldon's layup with 11:40 left to give the Tribe a 67-44 lead. William & Mary led by no less than 20 from there.
The Tribe shot 44.4 percent from 3-point range, led by Omar Prewitt who was 5 of 7 from distance and finished with 22 points. They had 20 assists to only six turnovers and out-rebounded the Keydets 51-38.
The 67 points were a season low for VMI (4-3) which entered the game ranked 10th in the nation in points per game (91.5).
