SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Jared Brownridge scored 13 of his 21 points in the second half as Santa Clara held off Radford 75-62 Monday night.
Kion Brown's layup with 5:58 to play pulled Radford within four, 60-56, but Santa Clara (5-5) scored 15 of the next 19 points, holding the Highlanders to just three field goals in the game's final 6 minutes to seal the victory.
In a first half that featured six ties and five lead changes, Javonte Green's dunk with 4:58 before the break gave Radford (6-3) a 23-20 advantage. The Broncos, however, closed the half with a 13-4 run and never trailed again.
Jerry Brown finished with 16 points for Santa Clara, while Nate Kratch added eight points and ten rebounds. Evan Roquemore scored 12 points and handed out five assists, passing Brian Jones to become the school's all-time assist leader with 521.
R.J. Price paced Radford with 16 points.
