LEXINGTON, Va. -- Elijah Wilson scored 26 points and grabbed four rebounds to lead Coastal Carolina in an 83-78 comeback win over Virginia Military on Wednesday night.
VMI led 20-9 at 13:39 in the first half and went into the break with a 50-36 advantage.
But the Keydets faded in the second period as the Chanticleers rallied with Wilson, Gillis, Cameron and Diagne striking from all over the hardwood to tie it up and then pull ahead for good on a Wilson 3 with 1:16 to play.
VMI sank only seven buckets from the field during the entire second half. The loss ends the team's four-game winning streak.
D.J. Covington led the Keydets (14-10, 7-4) with 21 points, 11 rebounds and six blocked shots.
