DAYTON, Ohio -- Reserve Vee Sanford scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures as Dayton pulled away for a 78-58 victory over St. Francis-New York on Saturday.
Jalen Cannon paced the Terriers (2-1), who were coming off a pair of impressive wins in Florida, with 14 points. St. Francis opened the season by winning at Miami and Florida Atlantic.
Price's jump shot just before the buzzer gave the Flyers a 32-25 lead at the half. The Terriers were within three midway through the second half when P.J. Santavenere made a three-pointer before the Flyers slowly took control.
Dayton, which beat Saint Francis (Pa.) on Wednesday, shot 51 percent from the field and made 24 of 30 free throws.
