HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Travion Leonard's layup with 46 seconds remaining tied the score and then Fordham made seven free throws to secure the 77-73 victory over Colgate Tuesday night.
Colgate (4-4) had a 60-52 lead with 8:57 remaining. The Rams (5-3) went on an 18-10 run to tie the score at 70 on Leonard's layup. Fordham finished on four free throws by Mandell Thomas, two by Bryan Smith and one by Branden Frazier.
Frazier led the Rams with 27 points and Thomas contributed 18.
The Rams had the advantage at the free throw line, making 23 of 27 free throws, compared to Colgate's 7 of 12.
Colgate took at 26-14 lead midway of the first period when Matt McMullen hit a 3-point jumper. The Raiders held a 41-34 advantage at the half.
