Lehigh jumped ahead 15-6, led the entire game and used two second-half runs to pull ahead by a comfortable margin.
After Loyola fell behind early, it closed to within one score on four different occasions, the last coming on a 29-27 deficit early in the second half.
Lehigh answered with a 10-2 run to take a 39-29 lead on Stefan Cvrkalj's 3-pointer at the 13:27 mark, and then a 9-2 run to go ahead 51-38 with 7:42 left. Lehigh led by no less than nine points from there.
Tim Kempton added 14 points for Lehigh (13-12, 6-6 Patriot League) which made 26 of 30 free throws and outrebounded Loyola 45-30.
