PEORIA, Ill. -- Jake Odum scored 27 points, making all 13 of his free-throw attempts, and Indiana State defeated Bradley 68-62 on Wednesday night.
Odum is six made free throws from tying Larry Bird's Sycamores mark of 542.
Khristian Smith added 14 points and Manny Arop 12 for Indiana State (19-6, 10-3), which is in second place in the Missouri Valley Conference, three games back of undefeated and fourth-ranked Wichita State.
Bradley (11-15, 6-7) tied the game with 12:08 left. The game was tied twice more before a 3-pointer by Arop gave the Sycamores the lead for good with 9:11 left. Two free throws by Arop at 1:47 gave Indiana State its biggest lead at 59-50 with 1:47 left, which was enough to win.
Bradley's Walt Lemon Jr. scored 22 points, surpassing 1,600 for his career, and made five steals to go over 200. Tyshon Pickett had 12 rebounds along with 11 points.
