ATLANTA -- Manny Atkins scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Georgia State continued to roll in conference action with a 75-60 victory over Louisiana-Monroe Thursday.
Devonta White added 20 points and five assists for Georgia State (19-7, 12-1 Sun Belt Conference), which has won 16 of its last 17 contests.
The Panthers scored the first five points of the game and opened on a 15-4 spurt. Louisiana-Monroe (8-13, 5-8) cut the lead to 31-28 late in the first half, before Georgia State closed the half on a 6-0 run for a 37-28 advantage.
Atkins opened the second half with a basket and Georgia State never let the lead slip into single digits again, leading by as many as 21.
