WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Mark Nwakamma scored 15 points and gathered seven rebounds to lead Hartford over St. Peter's 66-56 on Sunday.
Hartford (4-8) shot 50 percent from the floor, including 7 of 17 (41 percent) from beyond the arc. Yolonzo Moore II added 13 points for the Hawks and Taylor Dawson chipped in with 11 points, going 3 for 5 on 3-pointers.
The Peacocks scored the final seven points of the first half to lead 25-20 at the intermission and was up by eight at 41-33 on Wyche's jumper with 11:18 left. But Hartford went on a 10-0 run -- including treys by Taylor Dyson and Wes Cole -- to take the lead at the 8:40 mark at 43-41 and the Hawks never trailed again.
