UNLV (3-3) bookended halftime with big runs. The Runnin' Rebels closed the half on a 16-4 run to gain a 39-27 lead, then opened the second on a 16-2 run, taking a 25-point lead and coasting the rest of the game.
UNLV bullied UT Martin (2-8), earning a 29-6 free throw advantage and shooting 55.6 percent for the game. UNLV converted 19 of their 29 attempts. Roscoe Smith pulled down 19 rebounds to go along with his 13 points, and Khem Birch also had 13.
UT Martin shot 35.2 percent from the field and struggled to find a rhythm.
