PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Sean McGonagill made seven 3-pointers on his way to 29 points and Brown avenged a loss in its previous game by defeating Yale 73-56 on Saturday.

Saturday he made 7 of 9 3-point attempts as the Bears (9-7, 1-1) earned a split of the season series by shooting 54 percent. The Bulldogs (7-9, 1-1) beat the Bears a week ago in New Haven, Conn., 74-67.
