VALPARAISO, Ind. -- LaVonte Dority had a career-high 21 points in just 17 minutes on Sunday to lead Valparaiso over North Park 113-50.
Dority was 7 of 8 from the field and 5 of 6 from the 3-point line. The Crusaders (2-0) finished 12-of-18 3-point shooting as a team.
Eleven Crusaders were on the floor for at least 15 minutes, and each of them scored.
Valpo's 63-point margin of victory trailed only a 70-point win over IU-South Bend in November of 2005 since its move to Division I. The 113 points were the most since a 118-83 victory against Chicago State in March of 1996.
The Crusaders shot 70.2 percent from the floor (40 of 57) and held North Park to just 27.9 percent (17 of 61).
