TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Jamie Adams scored 19 points, including a three-point play with 1:11 left, as Florida A&M beat Delaware State 68-63 on Monday.
Adams had six assists but was the only Florida A&M (10-16, 6-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) player to score in double figures.
Delaware State trailed the entire second half but tied it at 54, 56, and 59 with 1:59 remaining. Jomari Bradshaw gave Florida A&M the lead for good with two free throws and Adams' basket and free throw made it a two possession game. Haywood and Casey Walker pulled Delaware State to within three points with 20 and 11 seconds left, respectively, but Willie Conner and Adams made 4 of 4 free throws to seal it.
