GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Jelanie Hewitt scored 19 of his 23 points in the second half, including Georgia Southern's last six points, and the Eagles edged North Carolina A&T 66-63 on Saturday.
The Aggies stayed close with Brian Akinkugbe's three-point play getting them within one, 64-63, with 25 seconds left. But Hewitt made two free throws and the Aggies missed a pair of 3-point shots to end the game.
Hewitt hit all 10 of his free throws and half of his six 3-point attempts while also grabbing nine rebounds. Tre' Bussey added 15 points.
