Davidson's first-half run puts away Furman, 73-56

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Chris Czerapowicz scored 21 points and De'Mon Brooks added 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Davidson to a 73-56 Southern Conference win at Furman Thursday night.

The Wildcats built a 13-point first half lead by closing out the half on a 13-3 run over the final four-and-a-half minutes that was fueled by a pair of 3-pointers and two free throws by Czerapowicz.

Davidson (6-5, 2-0 Southern Conference) shot 50-percent from the field, hitting 24 of 48 shots, 11 of 26 from long range.

The Paladins (6-10, 0-3 Southern Conference) were led by Stephen Croone's 21 points on 10 of 14 shooting from the free throw line.

But Furman committed 21 turnovers, which led to 16 Davidson points, and struggled from the free throw line as a team, converting just 17 of 26 attempts.
