MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Chris Fowler scored a career-high 25 points, to go along with eight assists and three steals, as Central Michigan beat Cal State Northridge 90-76 Saturday night.
Northridge (2-3) jumped out to an early 17-8 lead before Fowler, who made 7 of 14 field goals and 9 of 10 free throws, scored eight points during a 14-0 run by the Chippewas. Central Michigan (3-3) would never trail again.
Northridge out-rebounded the Chippewas 30-24, but committed 16 turnovers and made just 3-of-9 3-point shots. Central Michigan hit 12 of 27 from deep.
