CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Laurent Rivard made 5 of 10 from beyond the arc and scored 17 points to lead Harvard over Manhattan 79-45 on Friday night.
Harvard put the game away early. At 11-5 in the first half, Harvard went on a 22-4 run- including two 3-pointers by Rivard -- that led to a 39-17 halftime lead.
Harvard's 34-point margin is the largest for the Crimson since defeating Daniel Webster by 43, 94-51, on Dec. 28, 2008, and Manhattan's 45 points was the fewest Harvard has allowed since topping Brown 69-42 last season.
The Crimson held Manhattan to 14 of 41 shooting and caused 26 turnovers.
