LOS ANGELES -- Mike Caffey scored 15 points, leading four Long Beach State players in double figures, and the 49ers beat Loyola Marymount 73-70 Thursday night.
James Ennis had 14 points, Deng Deng scored 13 and Kris Gulley had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Long Beach State (3-3). Ennis contributed four points in an 8-0 run that put the 49ers ahead 67-62, and they maintained the lead the rest of the way.
