INDIANAPOLIS -- Travis Bader scored 27 points, including four 3-point baskets, to pace Oakland past IUPUI 84-62 on Saturday.
Oakland (6-9, 1-1 Summit) also got 12 points from Raphel Carter, who hit all five of his shots from the field. Cory Petros scored 10 points, and Drew Valentine scored eight to go with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Oakland hit on 52.8 percent of its field-goal attempts, and IUPUI was a bit off at 37.7.
Oakland had a 34-16 scoring advantage in the paint and outscored IUPUI 23-12 off turnovers.
