NATCHITOCHES, La. -- James Hulbin scored 19 points to lead four Northwestern State players in double figures to beat Oral Roberts 85-73 in a Southland Conference game Thursday night.
Hulbin, Roberson and Hicks were part of a strong second unit that gave the Demons a 48-6 advantage in bench points.
Though Oral Roberts shot 49.1 percent (27 of 55) compared to Northwestern State's 45.6 percent (31 of 68), the Demons led by as many as 17 points in the second half.
Northwestern State recorded 21 steals and Oral Roberts (14-9, 9-2) turned the ball over 28 times resulting in 34 points for the Demons.
