FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Karvel Anderson scored 13 points and Robert Morris held off Sacred Heart's late rally in a 68-63 win on Saturday.
Robert Morris had a 16-point lead with 3:49 left to play after Russell Johnson made two free throws. Sacred Heart went on a 15-1 run, capped by Shane Gibson's 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 65-63 with 1:15 remaining.
But the Pioneers (9-15, 7-6), who have lost two straight games, were unable to score the rest of the way. Jones made a free throw and Johnson added two more from the line to give the Colonials enough cushion.
