Roy Williams said his bouts often lead him to throw up and he did in the locker room at Boston College, but the team trainer Doug Halverson keeps some prescription pills as a precaution. Williams said he felt better after taking the pills then demanded he watch the close of the game from the tunnel leading to the court. "I got real emotional... because I said we've got to go back out to the tunnel because if we were going to lose I felt like I had to be on the bench with my team. I wasn't going to be back there (in the locker room.)"

North Carolina coach Roy Williams reiterated that he "feels fine" after by his count the "17th or 18th" time he's suffered from benign positional vertigo. "What that means is any traumatic, sudden jerking of your head... and you're very dizzy," said Williams, who added that was different than when he's had to grab the scorers table or someone's arm to steady him. "that's just a blood rush."
