Devin Gardner iffy for bowl game

Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner likely will miss the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl with a turf toe injury if he doesn't return to practice by Wednesday, coach Brady Hoke said Monday.

Gardner, who sustained the injury to his left foot in Michigan's regular-season finale against Ohio State on Nov. 30, exited the team plane Monday afternoon on crutches and wearing a walking boot. He will not practice Monday.
