Shoulder forces Josh Cochran to stop

AUSTIN, Texas – Former Texas starting tackle Josh Cochran is ending his career because of a recurring shoulder injury.

Cochran, who just finished his junior season, started 23 games and played in 30 in three seasons with the Longhorns.

He started Texas' first three games at right tackle in 2013 before aggravating a shoulder issue. That injury caused him to miss seven games, and Cochran lost enough weight to prompt a move to tight end.
