Jameis Winston safe on football side

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. - Two-sport star Jameis Winston, who was issued a civil citation on April 29 for shoplifting, will not face any punishment or suspensions that would impact him on the football field, Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said Monday.

Winston, a reliever for the Seminoles' baseball team, was suspended last week from playing in a three-game series against Minnesota. He was reinstated to the team after completing 20 hours of community service. Winston was issued the ...
