Texas' Brown getting hefty pay raise

AUSTIN, Texas -- Longhorns coach Mack Brown is getting a raise that would put him among the highest paid coaches in college football, school officials said.

Brown, who won the national championship with a 41-38 Rose Bowl victory over Southern California earlier this month, will receive an annual salary of at least $2.5 million, Texas men's Athletic Director DeLoss Dodds said.

Brown, 54, earned $2.159 million last season and is due for another $100,000 as part of a 10-year agreement ...
