Wisconsin WR Jefferson hospitalized with potential head, neck injuries

MADISON, Wis. -- The initial results of wide receiver Kyle Jefferson's medical tests are "very encouraging," Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema said.

Jefferson was hospitalized with potential head and neck injuries after he was taken off the field in an ambulance in the second quarter of Saturday's game against Minnesota.

Bielema said Jefferson was knocked unconscious on the field but was able to talk, squeeze his hands and move his feet afterward.
