Michigan's J.T. Floyd out for year

Michigan starting cornerback J.T. Floyd will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining an ankle injury in Tuesday's practice.

Coach Rich Rodriguez said Floyd suffered ligament damage and will undergo surgery. The ankle isn't broken, but Floyd could be out through practice next spring.

Floyd has started all eight games for Michigan and ranks third on the team in tackles with 66. He has an interception, a forced fumble and four pass breakups.
